Product information

Description

The HP DesignJet T1600 is a professional 36-inch large format printer engineered to meet the demanding needs of architectural, engineering, and construction firms. This high-performance device delivers exceptional print quality with a maximum resolution of 2400 x 1200 DPI, ensuring that every line, detail, and technical specification is rendered with precision. Designed for efficiency in busy office environments, it supports a wide range of media types and standard ISO paper sizes from A4 to A0, making it a versatile tool for producing everything from detailed blueprints to high-quality graphic presentations.

Advantages

The primary advantage of the HP DesignJet T1600 lies in its ability to handle complex technical documents with speed and accuracy. By utilizing a multi-color ink system including matte and photo blacks, it produces sharp text and vibrant graphics on various media, including bond, coated, and glossy papers. The integration of HP ePrint technology allows for seamless mobile printing, enabling teams to collaborate effectively regardless of their location. Furthermore, its robust construction and support for industry-standard page description languages like HP-GL/2 and TIFF ensure compatibility with professional design software, streamlining the workflow from digital file to physical output.

Suitable for

  • Architectural blueprints and construction drawings
  • Engineering schematics and technical documentation
  • High-quality graphic design posters and displays
  • Professional office environments requiring large-format output

This printer may not be suitable for high-volume commercial photo printing where specialized fine-art ink sets are required. Additionally, due to its physical dimensions and weight of 82 kg, it is not intended for small home offices or environments with limited floor space.

Key specifications

  • Maximum resolution: 2400 x 1200 DPI
  • Supported media: Bond, coated, glossy, semi-glossy, matte, and heavy paper
  • Supported sizes: A0, A1, A2, A3, A4
  • Connectivity: HP ePrint mobile printing
  • Page description languages: HP-GL/2, TIFF, JPEG, HP-RTL, CALS G4
  • Weight: 82 kg

To operate the HP DesignJet T1600, ensure the device is placed on a stable, level surface with adequate clearance for paper loading and output. Connect the printer to your network and install the necessary drivers on your workstation. Load your chosen media into the tray, select the appropriate paper settings in your print dialog, and send your files using your preferred design software. The intuitive interface allows for easy monitoring of ink levels and print status.

What to consider before purchase

  • Verify that your office space can accommodate the physical footprint and weight of the unit.
  • Ensure your network infrastructure supports the printer's connectivity requirements.
  • Confirm that your primary software applications are compatible with the supported page description languages.
For optimal performance and longevity, use genuine HP ink cartridges and recommended media types. Regularly update the printer firmware to ensure compatibility with the latest operating systems and security standards.
