License Base Aruba LIC-RFP Controller RFProtect E-LTU
The Aruba LIC-RFP Controller RFProtect E-LTU base license enables RF management and protection for enterprise wireless networks. Designed for use with Aruba controllers and RFProtect technology, this license provides advanced RF analytics and threat detection to improve wireless performance and security. For each access point managed by a controller, a minimum of one LIC-AP license per AP is required. The 7000 series controller supports mixed wireless, wired and hybrid SD‑WAN deployments, up to 24 Ethernet ports and up to 64 APs, and includes built‑in stateful firewall, secure VPN and content-filtering threat management to reduce onsite maintenance and the number of appliances per location.
The RFProtect E-LTU license adds centralized RF analytics and threat detection to help identify and mitigate wireless interference and attacks. It integrates with Aruba controller platforms to provide coordinated protection across APs and supports hybrid WAN features such as compression, health checks, zero-touch provisioning and policy-based routing. These capabilities simplify operations, reduce manual configuration and lower the need for physical service visits.
Assign the LIC-RFP base license to the Aruba controller platform following Aruba licensing procedures, ensuring one LIC-AP license is applied per managed access point. Enable RFProtect features in the controller’s management interface to activate RF analytics and threat detection. For hybrid WAN environments, configure compression, health checks and policy-based routing on the 7000 series controller and use zero-touch provisioning for new appliances where supported.
Apply one LIC-AP per access point managed by the controller and verify controller model compatibility (7000 series for the listed capacities). Use the RF analytics data to tune channels and power settings, and enable content filtering and VPN for comprehensive protection while minimizing on-site interventions.
