Processor HPE HPE 3204 1.9 GHz 8.25 MB Intel Xeon Bronze
The HPE 3204 1.9 GHz Intel Xeon Bronze processor is a server-class CPU from the Cascade Lake family designed for rack and blade servers. It provides six physical cores, 8.25 MB of integrated cache and a base/boost frequency of 1.9 GHz. Built for multi-socket server platforms with an LGA 3647 (Socket P) interface, this processor supports hexa-channel memory configurations and a maximum memory capacity suitable for large-scale virtualization, database and general-purpose server workloads. The CPU does not include on-board graphics and is intended for use in enterprise server or workstation environments.
This Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 model offers a balance of core count and memory support tailored to server applications. Its Cascade Lake architecture includes support for advanced instruction sets such as AVX-512, enabling improved performance on vectorized and parallel workloads. The hexa-channel memory support and large maximum memory capacity allow higher memory bandwidth and scalability in multi-socket configurations. The LGA 3647 socket compatibility aligns the processor with standard enterprise server motherboards and chassis from HP Enterprise.
Install the processor into a compatible server motherboard with an LGA 3647 (Socket P) socket following the server vendor's installation procedure. Apply vendor-specified thermal interface material and a compatible heatsink or cooling solution rated for enterprise CPUs. Ensure the server BIOS/firmware supports the Cascade Lake generation and that system memory is populated according to the hexa-channel layout to achieve optimal bandwidth. Configure operating system and hypervisor settings to recognize physical cores and to take advantage of AVX-512 instruction support where applicable.
For reliable operation, use the HPE 3204 in HP Enterprise systems or validated server platforms, install certified memory modules in matched channel configurations, and maintain adequate cooling under sustained load. Verify BIOS and firmware versions for full feature support and apply vendor firmware updates as needed.
