The HPE MSA 2060 combines simplicity and scalability by supporting mixed drive ensembles and 10GbE iSCSI host connectivity for shared storage. It delivers significantly higher IOPS compared with previous generations while allowing incremental capacity growth through additional SFF HDDs and SSDs. The hybrid design enables application acceleration with SSD tiers while retaining lower-cost bulk capacity on HDD media, and the compact 2U form factor fits standard rack deployments.
Install the HPE MSA 2060 into a standard 19-inch rack occupying 2U of space and populate the SFF bays with the required mix of SSDs and HDDs according to desired performance and capacity. Connect the array to the network using the 10GbE iSCSI ports and configure iSCSI targets on the array to present block LUNs to hosts. Use the array management interface to create volumes, configure RAID levels supported by the system, monitor performance metrics and manage firmware updates. Integrate with virtualization platforms or backup software by mapping LUNs from the array to hypervisors or backup servers over iSCSI.
