Description

The HSM Securio C16 is an entry-level personal and home office paper shredder designed for one to three users. It performs strip shredding with a working width of 225 mm and a shred size of 5.8 mm, and also accepts credit and store cards. The unit is compact and lightweight, with low operating noise and an energy-saving stand-by mode.

Advantages

Automatic start/stop and auto-reverse protect against paper jams, while a multifunction reverse button allows continued operation after clearing a blockage. A folding safety element with contact protection stops the machine if pressure is applied, and an inspection window provides a level indicator of the waste container. The top has a handle recess for easier removal of the upper part to empty the bin, with automatic stop when shredded material is removed. The device is made in Germany and features quiet operation and zero energy consumption in stand-by (ZES).

How to use

Place the shredder on a stable, level surface and connect it to a suitable power outlet. Insert sheets of paper, single credit or store cards into the feed opening within the specified working width; the machine starts automatically. If a paper jam occurs the auto-reverse function activates; press the reverse button again to continue shredding once the jam is cleared. Lift the top using the handle recess to remove and empty the waste container; the shredder will stop automatically when the upper part is removed.

Usage recommendations

To ensure reliable operation and a long service life, avoid overfeeding beyond the intended number of sheets, remove staples and large clips where possible, and allow the motor to cool after extended continuous use.
