HYTERA PTT and Microphone Cable ACS-01 for PD3 Series — Earpiece Accessory

The HYTERA PTT and Microphone Cable ACS-01 for PD3 Series is a wired accessory that adds push-to-talk control and an inline microphone to compatible PD3 two-way radios. Designed for use with earpieces, this cable enables discreet, hands-free voice communication while maintaining reliable audio transmission. It is intended for HYTERA PD3 models that support external PTT/mic accessories and connects directly to the radio to provide a compact, low-profile solution for voice operation in professional environments.

Advantages

The ACS-01 cable provides a straightforward wired PTT switch and an integrated microphone that simplify one-handed operation and improve speech clarity compared with using the radio’s built-in microphone in noisy or mobile situations. Its form factor is compatible with common earpiece assemblies used in security, event management, and hospitality, offering a stable mechanical connection and consistent audio performance. The cable’s design avoids the need for additional power or Bluetooth pairing, ensuring immediate readiness when connected to supported PD3 radios.

Suitable for

• Security personnel who require discreet earpiece communication.
• Event staff and ushers coordinating crowd control and logistics.
• Hospitality teams and front-of-house staff needing hands-free voice access.
• Field operators and technicians performing mobile tasks while staying in contact.

When it may not be suitable

This wired ACS-01 cable is not suitable for radios or devices that do not support external PTT/microphone accessories or use proprietary connectors incompatible with the PD3 accessory interface. It may also be less convenient in situations that demand a fully wireless setup or where range and mobility must be maximized without any cable connection to the radio.

Follow the radio’s accessory and audio settings to ensure the external microphone and PTT are enabled and configured correctly for optimal audio and transmission behavior.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm your specific HYTERA PD3 model supports external PTT/microphone accessories.
• Check connector type and accessory compatibility with the earpiece you plan to use.
• Consider whether a wired solution meets your mobility and operational requirements.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, route the cable to avoid snagging, keep the microphone close to the mouth but away from direct wind, and regularly inspect the connector and wiring for wear. Use with HYTERA-approved earpieces and accessories to maintain compatibility and safety.
