The HYTERA EHS26-R C-style Earbud with Inline Microphone and PTT is a wired audio accessory designed for hands-free voice communication with select HYTERA radios. It fits in the ear in a C-style loop and includes an inline microphone and a push-to-talk (PTT) button for rapid transmission. The accessory is compatible with AP325, BP365, PNC360 and PNC380 radio models and is intended for use in environments that require discreet, reliable radio audio and quick PTT control.

Advantages

The earbud provides unobtrusive in-ear monitoring and a compact form factor that keeps the microphone and PTT accessible on the cable. Its wired connection eliminates the need for batteries and reduces pairing or pairing-related connectivity issues. The inline PTT allows the user to control transmissions quickly without reaching for the radio, and the integrated microphone supports clear voice pickup in close-proximity use.

Suitable for

• Field technicians and maintenance crews who need hands-free voice communication

When it may not be suitable

This wired earbud is not suitable for users who require full hearing protection, active noise cancellation, or a completely wireless solution. • Decide if a wired C-style earbud meets your needs versus wireless or over-ear solutions
• Consider whether in-ear monitoring without active noise cancellation is acceptable for your environment

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, connect the earbud securely to the radio, position the microphone close to the mouth but not obstructing breathing, and operate the PTT with controlled presses. Regularly inspect the cable and connector for wear and replace the accessory if audio quality degrades.
