Iceberg DRIFTIce thermal pad is a single-piece grey pad designed to improve heat transfer between electronic components and heatsinks. With a thermal conductivity of 13 W/m·K and dimensions of 40 × 80 × 0.5 mm, this pad fills small air gaps and improves thermal contact in compact assemblies. It is supplied as one sheet and is suitable for use where stable thermal interface material is required without the need for liquid thermal paste.
The DRIFTIce pad provides reliable thermal conduction with a rated 13 W/m·K performance while remaining flexible over time. Its thin 0.5 mm profile allows precise placement in confined spaces and its single-piece format simplifies cutting and fitting. The grey material is non-liquid and non-corrosive, making it suitable for use in electronics where a clean, stable interface is preferred.
Measure and, if necessary, cut the single-piece DRIFTIce pad to match the contact area. Clean both contact surfaces to remove dust, grease or residue before placement. Position the pad so it fully covers the intended interface and apply gentle, even pressure to ensure uniform contact between component and heatsink. Assemble the device according to manufacturer instructions and verify that the pad remains securely in place with no excess compression beyond the intended gap filling.
For best results, select the 0.5 mm thickness where minimal gap filling is required; avoid over-compressing the pad to preserve its thermal conductivity and flexibility. Keep the pad free from oils and solvents during handling. If cutting is required, use a sharp blade and straightedge for accurate edges that fit the intended contact area.
