Iceberg DRIFTIce is a grey thermal pad engineered to transfer heat between electronic components and heatsinks. With a thermal conductivity of 13 W/m·K and dimensions of 40 × 120 × 0.5 mm, this single-piece pad is intended for filling gaps and improving thermal contact in PCs, GPUs, power electronics and other cooling applications. The material remains flexible over time and is supplied ready to cut or trim for precise placement.
The DRIFTIce pad provides consistent thermal transfer thanks to its 13 W/m·K conductivity and uniform thickness. Its 0.5 mm profile is suitable for small to moderate gaps where direct metal contact is not possible. Supplied as one piece, the pad can be cut to size for exact coverage, and the grey material is designed to remain flexible without hardening or corroding in typical operating environments.
Measure the area to be covered and cut the DRIFTIce pad to the required shape using a sharp blade or scissors. Clean mating surfaces of dust, old thermal material and grease before application. Place the pad so it fully bridges between the component and the heatsink, applying gentle, even pressure to ensure good contact. Reassemble the device and verify mechanical clearance to avoid excess compression beyond the pad thickness.
Use protective gloves to avoid contaminating contact surfaces, and avoid stretching the pad during application. For best thermal performance, ensure surfaces are clean and the pad is not excessively compressed; compression beyond intended thickness can reduce effectiveness. Replace the pad if it becomes damaged or contaminated during maintenance.
