Iceberg DRIFTIce is a grey thermal pad engineered to improve heat transfer between electronic components and cooling elements. With a thermal conductivity of 13 W/m·K and dimensions of 40×80×1 mm, this single-pad supply is intended for filling air gaps, replacing or supplementing existing thermal interface materials, and providing stable thermal contact across a wide operating temperature range from −40 to 200 °C.
DRIFTIce provides a high thermal conductivity material in a ready-to-use pad form, enabling even contact and efficient heat flow where direct metal-to-metal contact is not possible. Its grey formulation remains flexible over time and is designed to resist hardening, making it suitable for long-term use in assemblies that require reliable thermal coupling. The pad’s dimensions and 1 mm thickness allow for straightforward placement in typical electronic cooling scenarios.
Clean both mating surfaces to remove dust, grease or old thermal material before applying the pad. Cut the 40×80 mm pad to the required shape if necessary, then position it to bridge the gap between the component and the heatsink so that it makes even contact when the assembly is closed. Ensure correct alignment and apply gentle pressure to seat the pad; avoid stretching or folding. The pad can be left in place during normal operation within its specified temperature range.
For best results, use DRIFTIce where a consistent, non-liquid thermal interface is needed and where component spacing matches the pad thickness. Verify clearance and contact after assembly and avoid exposing the pad to chemicals or solvents that could affect its material properties.
