Iceberg DRIFTIce is a grey thermal pad designed to improve heat transfer between electronic components and heatsinks. With a thermal conductivity of 13 W/m·K and dimensions of 40 × 80 × 1.5 mm, the pad fills air gaps and enhances thermal contact in PCs, power modules and other devices. The material is rated for an operating temperature range from −40 to 200 °C and is supplied as one pad per pack.
The DRIFTIce thermal pad offers a high thermal conductivity value of 13 W/m·K which supports efficient heat flow from hot components to cooling solutions. Its 1.5 mm thickness and 40 × 80 mm size make it suitable for medium-sized contact areas and gap filling. The grey material remains flexible over a wide temperature range and is intended to maintain contact without hardening; packaging contains a single ready-to-use pad.
Select a clean, dry contact surface and ensure components are powered off and cooled. Cut the 40 × 80 × 1.5 mm pad to the required shape if necessary, peel any protective liners, and place the pad between the component and the heatsink so it covers the contact area evenly. Reassemble the cooling solution and apply uniform mounting pressure to establish good thermal contact. Verify clearance and mechanical fit before powering the device.
For best results, keep mating surfaces free of dust, oils and old thermal materials. Use the 1.5 mm thickness where moderate gaps exist; for larger or irregular gaps consider pads of different thicknesses. Avoid stretching the pad during application and confirm that the pad does not obstruct airflow or mechanical mounting points.
