The Iceberg Thermal IceGALE 12 cm Black is a 120 mm case fan designed for computer cooling. It features a rigid brass housing combined with a fluid dynamic bearing to ensure stable, quiet operation and increased longevity. The fan runs on 12 V and provides a maximum rotational speed of 1850 RPM with a range from 500 RPM, delivering up to 76 CFM airflow and a maximum static pressure of 2.8 mmH2O.
The rigid brass housing enhances structural stability and durability while the fluid dynamic bearing reduces operational noise and wear. Two-plane balance improves rotor stability at high speeds, and anti-vibration pads on the outer corners absorb unwanted vibrations. An automatic start/stop function powers the fan down when PWM duty cycle is below 21%, reducing noise and power consumption during low-load conditions.
Install the fan in a standard 120 mm mounting location inside the PC case using the provided screws or compatible fasteners. Connect the fan to a 3- or 4-pin motherboard header or a compatible fan controller at 12 V; if using PWM control, the fan remains off until the PWM duty cycle reaches approximately 21%. Ensure airflow orientation matches the case ventilation design (intake or exhaust) and route cables to avoid contact with the blades.
For best results, use the IceGALE 12 cm fan in combinations that respect intake and exhaust balance, place it away from loose cables, and replace it if encountering excessive noise or reduced airflow over time. Regularly clean dust from the blades and surrounding area to maintain performance.
