The Iceberg Thermal IceGALE Xtra is a 140 mm computer cooling fan designed to deliver high airflow and long service life. Constructed with a rigid brass housing and dual ball bearings, this 12 V fan operates between 500 and 2500 RPM and provides a maximum air pressure of 4.7 mmH2O and airflow up to 169 CFM. Finished in black, the fan is intended for use as a case or component cooler to improve system thermal performance.
The brass housing combined with dual ball bearings increases durability and stabilises the bearing assembly for extended lifetime. Two-plane balance and anti-vibration pads reduce wobble and transmitted vibration for quieter operation. The wide speed range (500–2500 RPM) and automatic start/stop function allow the fan to adapt performance and reduce power consumption and noise when low PWM duty cycles are used.
Install the IceGALE Xtra in a compatible 140 mm fan mounting location in the case or on a bracket, ensuring correct airflow orientation. Connect the fan to a 12 V fan header or PWM controller that supports the fan's start/stop behaviour; the automatic start/stop engages when PWM duty cycle is below 21% and restarts above that threshold. Secure the fan with the appropriate screws or anti-vibration mounts and route the cable to avoid contact with moving blades.
For quieter operation and longer life, use a PWM controller or motherboard fan header to keep the fan at lower duty cycles during idle periods and allow full speed under load. Check clearance for a 140 mm fan in your case and confirm airflow direction when replacing existing fans.
