The ICY BOX IB-RD3640SU3 is a 4-bay external HDD enclosure for 3.5" SATA drives that supports hot-swap and plug & play operation. It connects to a host via USB 3.0 (5 Gbit/s) or eSATA and offers multiple RAID modes for flexible storage configurations. The enclosure features tool-less metal drive bays, status LEDs and fan control indicators, and is made of aluminium and plastic in a black finish.

Advantages

Tool-less design allows mounting and replacing up to four 3.5" HDDs without screws; HotSwap and Plug & Play let you replace drives without powering down the system or installing drivers. The built-in controller supports RAID 0, 1, 3, 5 and 10 as well as Single mode so each drive can be accessed separately.
