The Icy Dock MB322SP-B is a compact 5.25” drive bay panel that converts a single external bay into two hot-swap 2.5” SATA/SAS drive bays (supporting 7mm and 9.5mm heights) plus one 3.5” slot for a hard drive or other 3.5” device. Constructed with a metal housing and reinforced door latches, the MB322SP-B includes a detachable dust cover for the 3.5” slot, soft blue LED activity indicators for each 2.5” bay, and multiple ventilation openings for improved cooling.

How to use

Install the MB322SP-B into a standard 5.25” device bay and secure it according to your chassis instructions. For 2.5” drives, use the ExpressTray Mini: place the front end (side without connectors) onto the built-in pins so it sits flush, then press the rear end (side with connectors) down until the drive seats fully. To remove a 2.5” drive, pull the rear tab on the tray to release the drive and lift it out. If additional security is needed, fasten the drive with screws using the optional bottom tray screw holes. For the 3.5” slot, either install a 3.5” HDD/device or attach the detachable dust cover when the slot is unused.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation, use 2.5” SATA drives of 7mm or 9.5mm height and ensure proper chassis grounding. If using SAS drives, connect to a compatible SAS host.
