Drive Bay Panel Icy Dock MB732SPO-B
The Icy Dock MB732SPO-B drive bay panel converts a single 5.25" external bay into a combined media and storage module that accommodates two hot-swappable 2.5" HDD/SSD drives and one slim or ultra-slim optical disc reader. The full-metal chassis with extensive ventilation and rubber anti-vibration stoppers protects drives from heat and mechanical shock. The product supports multiple drive heights up to 15 mm and includes SATA data and power compatibility with locking latches for secure cable connections. A detachable multifunction faceplate fits slim (12.7 mm) or ultra-slim (9.5 mm) ODDs and serves as a dust cover when a reader is not installed.
The MB732SPO-B offers hot-swappable 2.5" bays and a multifunctional optical bay in a single 5.25" enclosure, maximizing space efficiency for small-form-factor and home-theater PC builds. Its tool-less ExpressTray design uses built-in pegs for quick drive installation while included screws provide extra security when needed. Individual LED activity indicators and per-bay power switches help protect connectors and save power. The robust metal frame, plentiful ventilation holes and anti-vibration elements provide reliable protection for mechanical HDDs and SSDs.
Install the MB732SPO-B into a free 5.25" bay and connect the included SATA data and power cables to your motherboard and PSU. Insert 2.5" HDDs or SSDs into the ExpressTray slots using the built-in pegs for a tool-less fit; optionally secure drives with the supplied screws if additional retention is required. For the optical bay, place a slim (12.7 mm) ODD directly and secure with screws, or use the included multifunction faceplate as a spacer when installing an ultra-slim (9.5 mm) ODD. The faceplate can be stored inside the enclosure in its designated housing when not in use.
Use the individual power switches to turn off unused bays to reduce wear on internal connectors and save power. Ensure adequate case airflow around the front panel and periodically clean the faceplate and ventilation holes to prevent dust buildup and overheating.
