The ICY BOX IB-1817M-C31 Grey M.2 is a compact aluminium SSD enclosure for a single M.2 PCIe 3.0 drive. It connects via USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) and supports M.2 lengths 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. Designed for high-speed mobile storage, the enclosure offers up to 10 Gbit/s transfer rate while actively transferring heat from the SSD to the housing through a patented cooling plate to avoid throttling.

Advantages

The integrated patented cooling plate transfers heat from the M.2 SSD to the aluminium housing for optimized thermal dissipation, reducing the risk of transfer-rate reduction due to overheating. The enclosure supports multiple M.2 lengths and is operating-system independent, enabling use across different platforms. A hardware write-protection switch lets you lock the drive to prevent accidental changes to sensitive data. The USB Type-C interface provides a simple high-speed connection with up to 10 Gbit/s throughput.
