The ICY BOX IB-158SK-B is a 5.25" carrier panel for quick, tool-free installation of a 3.5" SATA HDD. The design eliminates the need to fix the drive to a tray, reducing installation time. Constructed mainly from aluminium with black plastic front and rear panels, the carrier panel measures 145 mm (W) × 179 mm (D) × 41 mm (H) and weighs 0.31 kg. Two keys are included to secure the drive bay.

Advantages

Fitting a SATA I/II/III hard drive is faster because no tray or screws are required. The aluminium body provides structural stability, low weight and effective passive heat dissipation so the device operates quietly without a fan; an optional 12V fan can be added if desired (fan not included). A mechanical lock with two keys protects the drive from unauthorized access, and an LED indicates HDD activity.

How to use
