Repair tool iFixit EU145419-1 — aluminium electronic device repair tool, 1 pc

The iFixit aluminium electronic device repair tool is a single-piece driver handle designed for precision electronics work. Constructed from aluminium with a knurled, ergonomic grip, it provides a lightweight yet durable solution for turning small screws found in circuit boards, housings and compact components. The tool includes a magnetic bit holder that transmits magnetism through compatible 4 mm screwdriver bits and a smooth swivel cap to facilitate controlled, repetitive turning.

Advantages

The aluminium construction offers corrosion resistance and reduces fatigue due to its low weight while maintaining strength for routine repair tasks. The knurled grip improves control and reduces slippage during delicate operations. Built-in magnetism at the bit holder helps retain tiny screws on the bit, and the swivel cap enables precise fingertip rotation for tasks that require steady, continuous turning.

Suitable for

• Disassembling and reassembling smartphones, tablets and laptops
• Working on circuit boards and small electronic modules
• Replacing or tightening fasteners in compact housings and cameras
• Hobby electronics and precision mechanical repairs

Key specifications

• Material: aluminium handle with magnetic bit holder
• Compatibility: accepts 4 mm screwdriver bits
• Grip: knurled ergonomic surface for improved torque control
• Feature: smooth swivel cap for fingertip rotation
• Unit quantity: 1 piece

How to use

Select a compatible 4 mm screwdriver bit and insert it into the magnetic bit holder until it seats securely. Position the bit on the fastener, apply gentle axial pressure, and use the knurled handle to turn the screw. For controlled, repetitive rotations use the swivel cap to support the palm or fingertips while maintaining steady torque. After use, store the tool and bits in a dry place to preserve the aluminium finish and magnetic performance.

Usage recommendations

Use the tool with bits that match the screw head profile to avoid cam-out; avoid applying excessive force that could strip tiny screws or damage circuit board components. Periodically clean the knurled grip and bit holder to remove debris and maintain reliable magnetism and handling.
