The INDEXA Pentatech MA80P is a wireless passive infrared (PIR) wall sensor designed to extend the coverage of alarm systems and emergency telephone diallers MA80 and EW01. Installed on a wall, the sensor provides a 100° detection angle with a maximum range up to 8 meters and communicates with the MA80 / EW01 base unit by radio at 433.92 MHz. The compact white housing and included ball-and-socket joint enable flexible mounting and adjustment.

The MA80P adds radio-based motion detection to existing MA80 and EW01 systems without additional wiring, supports enrollment of up to six wireless components plus two wireless remote controls, and operates on alkaline battery power for simple maintenance. How to use

Mount the MA80P on a stable wall surface using the included ball-and-socket joint and aim the sensor toward the area to be monitored. Enrol the sensor to the MA80 or EW01 base unit following the base unit's pairing procedure. Install the alkaline battery, check radio connection and perform a walk-test to verify detection coverage up to 8 metres and a 100° field of view. Adjust the sensor angle as needed for optimal coverage.

Usage recommendations

Position the sensor at a suitable height and avoid aiming it directly at heat sources, air vents, or large windows to reduce false triggers. For best results in corridors and rooms, test and fine-tune the sensor angle after installation.
