InLine 10" Blind Plate 1U RAL 7035 Grey SPCC Steel

The InLine 10" blind plate is a reliable 1U rack accessory designed to cover unused spaces in 10-inch network enclosures and server cabinets. Manufactured from durable 1mm SPCC steel and finished in a neutral RAL 7035 light grey color, this blank panel contributes to structured cabling setups by creating a clean, professional visual finish. Beyond aesthetics, it helps maintain proper equipment organization within compact server rooms and home network setups.

Advantages

The blind plate improves overall cabinet management by sealing off vacant rack units, which assists in directing airflow properly and preventing dust accumulation on sensitive electronics. Its robust steel construction ensures long-lasting durability and physical protection for internal components. The standard 10-inch form factor and 1U height allow for quick and straightforward installation in compatible enclosures without requiring specialized tools.

Suitable for

• Covering empty spaces in 10-inch network cabinets
• Improving airflow management in small server enclosures
• Preventing dust and debris accumulation in unused rack units
• Creating a professional finish for home or office structured cabling setups

When it may not be suitable

This blind plate is not designed for 19-inch server racks or enclosures that deviate from the standard 10-inch width. It is also unsuitable if you require active ventilation, cable pass-through, or mounting options for networking hardware, as this is a solid, non-vented blank panel.

How to use

To install the blind plate, align the mounting holes with the vertical rails of your 10-inch network enclosure at the desired 1U vacant space. Secure the panel firmly to the rack using standard rack screws and cage nuts appropriate for your cabinet type. Ensure the panel sits flush against the rails to maintain a secure and orderly layout across the enclosure.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your network enclosure or server cabinet is a 10-inch format rather than a standard 19-inch rack
• Check that you have a free 1U space available where the panel is intended to be mounted
• Ensure you have compatible rack screws and cage nuts available for installation

Usage recommendations

For optimal thermal management and a clean aesthetic, place blind plates between active heat-generating devices to separate airflow channels and prevent hot air recirculation inside the enclosure.
