InLine 19-inch 1U Blind Panel in RAL 9005 Black made of SPCC Steel

The InLine 19-inch 1U blind panel in RAL 9005 black is an essential accessory designed for standard server racks and network enclosures. This panel covers unused rack spaces, helping to maintain a clean, professional appearance while supporting proper airflow management within data centers, server rooms, and IT installations.

Advantages

Using this blanking panel helps prevent the recirculation of hot exhaust air by blocking empty slots in your enclosure, which contributes to more efficient cooling and stable operating temperatures for active hardware. Built from sturdy 1 millimetre thick SPCC steel, the panel provides reliable durability and structural integrity. Its standard 19-inch width and 1U height ensure broad compatibility with most standard server racks and network cabinets, while the sleek black finish in RAL 9005 seamlessly integrates with existing professional IT equipment.

Suitable for

• Covering vacant 1U spaces in 19-inch server racks
• Improving airflow management in network enclosures
• Achieving a clean, uniform look in data center cabinets
• Protecting internal cabinet components from dust in unused areas

When it may not be suitable

This blind panel is not suitable for enclosures that do not follow the standard 19-inch mounting format or where non-standard rack unit spacing is used. It should also be avoided if active ventilation or airflow through the empty space is specifically required.

How to use

Installation is straightforward and requires standard rack mounting screws and cage nuts, which are typically sourced separately depending on your rack type. Align the mounting holes of the 1U panel with the corresponding vertical mounting rails of your 19-inch cabinet over the desired empty space. Secure the panel firmly to the front rails using appropriate hardware to ensure a flush and stable fit against the rack framework.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your rack or enclosure supports standard 19-inch equipment
• Check that you have an available 1U space where closure is needed
• Ensure you have the appropriate mounting screws and cage nuts available for installation
• Confirm the colour matches your existing cabinet setup if aesthetics are a priority

For optimal thermal management and a tidy server rack layout, install blanking panels sequentially to seal off all unused 1U gaps between active devices.
