InLine Fan Cable Extension 3-pin Molex Male to Female 1 m

The InLine Fan Cable Extension 3-pin Molex Male to Female 1 m is an essential computer component accessory designed to extend the reach of internal computer chassis cooling fan power connections. With a generous length of one meter, this cable extension allows for flexible cable routing and improved cable management inside your computer case. It features a 3-pin Molex male connector on one end and a 3-pin Molex female connector on the other, ensuring a secure and reliable link between your motherboard, fan hub, or controller and your cooling system. By bridging the distance between components, it helps maintain optimal airflow and prevents cable clutter in custom PC builds.

Advantages

This fan cable extension offers a robust solution for managing internal airflow without signal loss. It fully transmits the fan speed signal, allowing for accurate RPM monitoring and diagnostic functions during operation. The precision-machined design and resistant sheathing ensure a long service life, even in systems subject to frequent modifications or upgrades. Its standardized connectors provide universal compatibility with a wide variety of cooling hardware, making it a dependable choice for both everyday desktop computers and demanding professional environments.

Suitable for

• Extending 3-pin fan connections in custom PC builds
• Improving cable management and airflow in computer chassis
• Connecting distant cooling fans to motherboards or fan hubs
• Use in desktop PCs, server infrastructures, and industrial applications

This cable may not be suitable for fans utilizing 4-pin PWM connections unless you only require basic power and monitoring without advanced pulse-width modulation control. It is also not intended for high-power devices or components outside of standard computer cooling fans.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1 m
• Connector 1: 3-pin Molex male
• Connector 2: 3-pin Molex female
• Speed signal extension: Yes
• Purpose: Cooling fan connection
• Dimensions: 12 mm width, 1000 mm depth, 10 mm height

To use the InLine fan cable extension, first power off and unplug your computer system. Locate the existing 3-pin fan cable that requires additional length and disconnect it from its current header or splitter. Connect the male end of the extension cable to the fan cable, and plug the female end of the extension into the designated 3-pin header on your motherboard, fan controller, or fan hub. Ensure both connections are firmly seated. Route the cable neatly along the chassis interior to avoid obstructing other components or fans before powering the system back on.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your cooling fans use a 3-pin Molex connector format
• Check the distance between your fan and the motherboard header to ensure the 1-meter length is sufficient
• Confirm whether you need speed signal monitoring, as this cable supports it

Always route internal cables away from moving fan blades and sharp metal edges to prevent damage. Ensure that the system is completely powered off and unplugged before performing any hardware installations or modifications inside the computer chassis.
