Video switch InLine 57885A 4 ports 1080p
The InLine HDMI Switch 4-way with audio decoupling provides a compact, metal-housed solution to connect up to four HDMI sources to one display, supporting advanced video and audio standards. It supports resolutions up to 8K@60Hz (4:2:0, 12-bit) and 4K@120Hz (4:4:4, 12-bit), HDR formats including HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG, HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3. The device includes eARC on one HDMI output, a dedicated HDMI audio-only output, optical (SPDIF) and analogue 3.5 mm outputs for flexible audio integration. Control options include front-panel buttons, an IR remote and CEC, while a USB-C service port enables firmware updates.
The switch offers broad compatibility with modern AV equipment through HDMI 2.1, HDCP 2.3, eARC and CEC, enabling pass-through of high-resolution video and advanced audio formats. Flexible audio extraction via HDMI, optical SPDIF and analogue outputs allows connection to both contemporary receivers and older stereo systems. Manual and automatic source switching, switchable EDID modes and a firmware-updateable USB-C port increase adaptability and future-proofing. A robust metal housing, ESD protection and a lockable external power adapter support reliable, long-term installations.
Connect up to four HDMI source devices to the HDMI IN ports and connect the display to the HDMI OUT with eARC for best audio return capability. If you need to extract audio separately, use the HDMI audio-only output, optical SPDIF or the 3.5 mm analogue output to feed your sound system. Select sources using the front-panel buttons, the supplied IR remote control or rely on CEC/automatic switching; automatic switching can be disabled if manual control is preferred. Use the USB-C service port to update firmware when updates are released.
For optimal performance, use high-speed HDMI cables rated for HDMI 2.1 bandwidth (48 Gbps) for sources and displays that require 4K@120Hz or 8K@60Hz. When connecting legacy audio equipment, verify audio format compatibility and choose the appropriate SPDIF or analogue output. Ensure adequate ventilation around the metal housing and connect the lockable power adapter securely for stable operation.
