Wall outlet box InLine Cat.6 2x RJ45 horizontal — surface or flush mount
The InLine Cat.6 wall outlet box provides a compact and fully shielded enclosure for two horizontal RJ45 connections, suitable for both surface and flush mounting. Designed for Cat.6 network terminations, the box accepts keystone RJ45 jacks or pre-terminated cables and includes two LSA connection strips with eight clamping plates each to support reliable structured cabling. Its shielded metal design helps reduce electromagnetic interference in office, home or data cabinet installations while keeping connections tidy and accessible.
The outlet box offers a dual-port layout that keeps two RJ45 connections in a single footprint, saving wall space and simplifying cabling routes. Complete shielding improves signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic disturbances. The integrated LSA connection strips with 8 clamping plates per strip enable stable punched-down terminations for Cat.6 cabling. Flexible mounting options allow either surface-mounted installation where conduit or trunking is used, or flush mounting for a low-profile finish.
Mount the box at the chosen location using appropriate screws and anchors for surface or in-wall fastenings. Install keystone RJ45 jacks or guide pre-terminated cable connectors into the horizontal RJ45 openings. For hard-terminated cables, punch down each conductor into the LSA strips following the T568A or T568B wiring standard and verify correct pair alignment. Ensure the shield is properly bonded to the building grounding system when using shielded twisted-pair cable to maintain shielding effectiveness. After termination, attach the cover and secure any cable strain relief.
Use Cat.6-compatible keystone jacks and ensure correct wiring standard across the network to preserve performance. When installing shielded cable, confirm continuous grounding from the cable shield to the box and onward to the building ground. Test each link with an appropriate network tester after installation to verify continuity, pair integrity and Cat.6 performance.
