InLine 76217S Keystone RJ45 coupler unshielded Cat.6A black 8-pack

The InLine 76217S Keystone RJ45 coupler unshielded Cat.6A black 8-pack provides a reliable and efficient solution for extending or connecting Ethernet cables in structured cabling systems. Designed as a jack-to-jack modular adapter, this unshielded Cat.6A coupler ensures seamless local area network performance for both residential and professional office environments. Each unit features a standard RJ45 female to RJ45 female configuration with a 1:1 pin assignment, making it fully compatible with standard network infrastructure.

Advantages

This 8-pack of Keystone couplers offers exceptional convenience and cost-effectiveness for larger networking setups or multi-room installations. The standardized Keystone snap-in design allows for quick and tool-free mounting in standard patch panels, wall outlets, and mounting frames. Supporting data transfer speeds up to 10Gb/s at a bandwidth of 500MHz, these adapters maintain high signal integrity without bottlenecks. The durable plastic housing includes a coloured front face, which assists with visual cable management and port identification inside busy network cabinets.

Suitable for

• Extending existing LAN, patch, and network cables without signal degradation
• Populating 19-inch empty patch panels and wall junction boxes
• Home and small office local area network installations
• ISDN telephone cable connections using 8P8C modular formatting

When it may not be suitable

This product is unshielded (U/UTP) and is generally not recommended for environments with high electromagnetic interference where shielded Cat.6A or Cat.7 STP components are strictly required. It is also unsuitable for direct outdoor installations without a protective weatherproof enclosure.

Key specifications

• RJ45 female to RJ45 female jack-to-jack configuration
• Cat.6A performance supporting up to 10Gb/s and 500MHz
• Unshielded U/UTP design with 1:1 pin assignment (8P8C)
• Keystone snap-in mounting format with coloured plastic housing
• Pack quantity of 8 pieces

How to use

To install the Keystone coupler, simply insert the unit into a compatible snap-in opening, such as a 19-inch empty patch panel or a modular wall outlet, until the retaining clips click securely into place. Once mounted, plug your standard RJ45 network or patch cables into both the front and rear ports to establish a continuous link. Ensure that the cables are routed without excessive bending or tension to maintain optimal network performance.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your existing network architecture utilizes unshielded cabling to match the U/UTP specification
• Check the physical dimensions of your patch panel or wall box cutout to ensure compatibility with standard Keystone snap-in sizing
• Confirm the required quantity of ports for your specific networking project

Usage recommendations: Handle the plastic housing with care during installation to avoid damaging the snap-in clips. Ensure cables are properly supported to prevent undue mechanical strain on the coupler ports over time.
