The InLine Interface Card 4 Port Serial 9 Pin PCIe (model 76623C) is a PCI-Express (x1) add-in card that provides four RS-232 serial ports in DB-9 connectors. It complies with PCI-Express Base Specification Revision 1.1 and is designed for installation in two adjacent PCIe slots. The card is compatible with a wide range of operating systems including Windows (2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Server editions), Linux, Mac OS X and DOS, and is based on the Moschip MCS9904CV-AA chipset.

Advantages

This PCIe serial card supports single-lane (x1) PCI-Express operation with throughput up to 2.5 Gb/s and provides four independent RS-232 ports. Each UART is compatible with industrial 16C450/16C550 standards and includes an on-chip 256-byte FIFO for transmit and receive paths to improve data flow. The card supports hardware and software flow control, multiple data formats (5, 6, 7, 8 bits), various parity options (Even, Odd, None, Space, Mark) and 1 or 2 stop bits. A special firmware variant can support higher per-port rates up to 1 Mb/s; standard maximum per-port rate is 230.4 kb/s.
