Description

The InLine 76660U internal interface card converts an M.2 Key B+M slot into one M.2 SATA SSD connection and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, enabling the expansion of SATA storage in desktop systems. It uses an M.2 PCIe x2 connection (B, M and B+M key) and a Marvell 88SE9230 controller to provide RAID functionality, Port Multiplier support, Hot Plug/Hot Swap and onboard LED indicators for port status.

Advantages

This M.2 to SATA adapter supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10 and HyperDuo for flexible combinations of speed, redundancy and SSD/HDD caching. Hot Plug and Hot Swap allow drives to be installed or removed while the system is running. Port Multiplier support permits multiple drives to operate on a single SATA port, and no additional drivers are required for common operating systems.

How to use

Insert the interface card into a compatible M.2 slot (Key B, M or B+M supporting PCIe) on the mainboard. Mount one M.2 SATA SSD into the card's M.2 slot and connect additional SATA drives to the four 7-pin SATA connectors using the supplied SATA cables. Connect the SATA cables to free SATA ports on the mainboard. Ensure the M.2 SSD receives power from the M.2 slot and that SATA ports are cabled externally.
