Network management Insys Microelectronics icom Data Suite Essential App
The INSYS icom Data Suite Essential App turns compatible routers into multipurpose gateways for protocol conversion, data logging and basic IoT functions. Install the application on an INSYS icom router to capture, process and forward operational data at the network edge without programming. The app supports cloud connectivity and local data storage to enable remote monitoring, alerting and simple device control while keeping data volumes and transmission costs low.
The icom Data Suite provides a multiprotocol environment that converts and links industrial control systems, sensors and controllers (OPC UA, Modbus, Siemens, IEC 60870 and others). Edge computing lets you preprocess data on the device to reduce bandwidth and storage needs, while pre-integrated cloud connectors or generic MQTT forwarding simplify cloud integration. Built-in data logger and alerting capabilities enable verification, error analysis, threshold monitoring and timely notifications. No programming knowledge is required to configure most functions.
Install the app on a compatible INSYS icom router and configure connections to local controllers, sensors or inputs via the supported industrial protocols. Define data points to be logged, set threshold values and configure alert channels (email, SMS, MQTT or RPC). Choose cloud integration via a pre-integrated provider or configure generic MQTT forwarding. Use the on-device dashboard or exported CSV files for analysis and reporting.
Deploy the icom Data Suite on-site for edge processing where reduced data transfer and fast local analysis are required. Combine data logging with alert rules for predictive maintenance and use pre-integrated cloud connections for higher-level analytics or long-term storage.
