Processor Intel Xeon Gold 6244 3.6 GHz 8 Cores 24.75 MB LGA 3647
Intel technologies listed provide processor-level features for security, virtualization, performance scaling, power management and reliability. They include hardware-supported execution protection, virtualization extensions for both CPU and I/O, 64-bit addressing, advanced cache sharing, encryption acceleration, dynamic frequency scaling, thread parallelism and specialized instruction set extensions for vector and AI workloads. Together these capabilities enable improved platform security, manageability, responsiveness and optimized handling of demanding compute and virtualized workloads.
Hardware-enforced security features such as Execute Disable Bit and Intel Trusted Execution Technology reduce exposure to malicious code and help isolate sensitive workloads. Virtualization technologies (VT-x, VT-d, VT-x with EPT) improve virtual machine performance and I/O reliability. Frequency- and power-management features (Intel Turbo Boost, Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, Speed Shift, Enhanced SpeedStep) provide responsive single-thread performance and energy efficiency. Instruction set extensions (AVX, AVX-512, AES-NI, VNNI) and Intel DL Boost accelerate cryptography, vector math and deep learning inference. Platform-level capabilities such as Intel vPro eligibility, Run Sure, RDT and VMD support improve manageability, resilience and resource control for enterprise deployments.
These processor technologies are enabled and managed through platform firmware (BIOS/UEFI), operating system support and virtualization software. Enable relevant features in BIOS/UEFI (for example virtualization and security options), install an OS and drivers that support the extensions (AES-NI, VT-d, Intel RDT, VMD, etc.), and configure hypervisors or management tools to leverage VT-x/VT-d, EPT and resource controls. For performance tuning, use vendor guidance to adjust turbo and speed-select profiles and ensure adequate cooling and power delivery to allow Turbo Boost and Turbo Boost Max to operate.
For server and enterprise deployments, enable hardware virtualization and resource director features and use an OS/hypervisor that supports EPT, VT-d and Intel RDT. Keep firmware and drivers up to date and maintain proper cooling to allow dynamic frequency features to deliver optimal performance. Use AES-NI and Intel DL Boost where supported to accelerate encryption and inference workloads.
