PC Case Inter-Tech MI-008 ITX Mini-ITX Black
The INTER-TECH MI-008 ITX Mini-ITX Black is a compact PC case designed to house Mini-ITX motherboards while providing support for SFX power supplies and a variety of drive formats. With external dimensions of 220 mm (W) x 340 mm (D) x 138 mm (H) and a weight of 2.03 kg, this black chassis is intended for space-efficient desktop or living-room systems. Despite its small footprint, the case includes a removable U-shaped cover that simplifies component installation and allows an external 5.25" optical drive to be fitted. Perforated vents on the side of the top panel and on the rear ensure continual airflow to support installed components.
The MI-008 ITX combines compact dimensions with expandable drive options, supporting 2.5", 3.5" and an external 5.25" drive bay. Front-panel connectivity includes two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and HD audio, enabling modern peripherals without needing to access rear I/O constantly. The case accepts SFX power supplies to save internal space and its removable top cover makes assembly and maintenance straightforward. Mesh openings at strategic locations improve passive airflow and contribute to stable component temperatures in small builds.
Remove the U-shaped top cover to access the interior and position the Mini-ITX motherboard on the standoffs. Fit an SFX power supply into the dedicated compartment and connect power cables to the motherboard and drives. Install storage devices into the corresponding 2.5" or 3.5" mounts and, if required, mount an external 5.25" optical drive. Route cables neatly to maintain airflow through the side and rear ventilation openings, then reattach the cover. Connect front-panel USB and audio headers to the motherboard following the motherboard manual.
For optimal cooling, use low-profile CPU coolers and ensure cables are routed away from ventilation areas. Choose an SFX power supply with appropriate wattage for your components and prefer 2.5" SSDs in compact builds to reduce noise and improve cable management.
