The Inter-Tech S-331 Desktop is an ultra-compact desktop PC case with a volume of 8.3 liters, designed to house high-performance office systems while occupying minimal space. Its compact footprint (95 mm × 295 mm × 325 mm) and lightweight construction make it suitable for horizontal or vertical placement on a desk. The case accepts Mini-ITX and Micro ATX motherboards and provides front access to four USB ports (2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0).

Advantages

The S-331 offers flexible storage options including one 3.5" bay or two 2.5" SSD bays and a slim 9.5 mm ODD slot. Low-profile expansion cards up to 230 mm in length are supported. Tool-free removable mounting cages simplify installation of the HDD, ODD and one SSD, and an integrated cover lock helps prevent unauthorized access. An optional 80 mm fan can be installed behind the front panel for improved internal cooling.

How to use

Install a Mini-ITX or Micro ATX motherboard inside the case, mount storage devices in the removable cages and secure the slim ODD if required. Connect front panel USB ports to the motherboard headers. If additional airflow is needed, fit an 80 mm fan behind the front panel. The case can be placed horizontally or vertically; design allows easy access to front USB ports in either orientation.

Usage recommendations

For optimal balance between cooling and noise in an office environment, use a single low-speed 80 mm fan and prefer 2.5" SSDs where possible. Ensure low-profile expansion cards (max 230 mm) are used to maintain internal clearance and airflow.
