Inter-Tech ST-2513 Black Metal Plastic 260g

Small hot-swap device designed to mount a single 2.5" hard disk in an external 3.5" drive bay. The Inter-Tech ST-2513 Black combines metal and plastic construction and weighs approximately 260 g. It allows direct insertion of a 2.5" drive without an additional mounting frame and includes an isolating mat to prevent electrical contact between the disk and the enclosure.

Advantages

The device supports tool-free insertion and an intelligent eject mechanism that pushes the hard disk out for easy removal. Each hot-swap frame can be locked individually to protect the drive against theft. The supplied insulating mat can be glued below the drive to prevent electrical shorts between the disk and the mount.

Suitable for

• Converting an external 3.5" bay to accommodate one 2.5" HDD or SSD
• Frequent drive swapping in desktop PCs or server cases
• Securing a single 2.5" drive with a locking mechanism

Use the intelligent eject mechanism to remove the drive by opening the frame, which will push the disk out for easy removal. Lock the frame if you need to secure the drive against unauthorized removal.

Usage recommendations

Before installing or removing a drive, shut down the system or follow your motherboard/case hot-swap guidelines to avoid data loss or hardware damage. Ensure the isolating mat is positioned correctly to prevent short circuits.
