Small hot-swap device designed to mount a single 2.5" hard disk in an external 3.5" drive bay. The Inter-Tech ST-2513 Black combines metal and plastic construction and weighs approximately 260 g. It allows direct insertion of a 2.5" drive without an additional mounting frame and includes an isolating mat to prevent electrical contact between the disk and the enclosure.

Advantages

The device supports tool-free insertion and an intelligent eject mechanism that pushes the hard disk out for easy removal. Each hot-swap frame can be locked individually to protect the drive against theft.
