INTER-TROTON FIBERGLASS Filler 1309
INTER-TROTON FIBERGLASS Filler 1309 is a professional-grade polyester filler reinforced with glass fibers, specifically engineered for automotive body repair. This high-quality compound offers exceptional mechanical strength and superior adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces. Its unique formulation makes it an essential tool for addressing significant structural damage, providing a robust solution for filling deep dents, holes, and reinforcing weakened areas of the vehicle bodywork.
The primary benefit of this fiberglass filler is its remarkable durability and structural integrity, which prevents cracking and shrinkage even in demanding repair scenarios. It is designed to be easy to apply, allowing for smooth coverage over damaged areas. Furthermore, the material is straightforward to sand once cured, ensuring a level and refined surface that serves as an excellent foundation for subsequent finishing layers, such as standard body fillers or primers. Its white color helps in achieving a clean base for lighter topcoats.
This product is not intended for use as a final surface finish, as it is designed to be covered by a finer finishing filler or primer. It is also not suitable for applications requiring high flexibility, as the glass fiber reinforcement makes the cured material rigid.
Before application, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of rust, grease, or loose paint. Sand the area to improve mechanical adhesion. Mix the required amount of filler with the appropriate hardener according to the manufacturer's ratio until a uniform color is achieved. Apply the mixture to the damaged area using a spreader, pressing firmly to ensure good contact. Once the filler has cured, sand the surface with progressively finer grit sandpaper until the desired smoothness is reached before applying subsequent layers.
Always work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and a mask, to avoid contact with skin and inhalation of dust during sanding.
