The U8-500 Plus is a 2U rack-mount backup server NAS powered by an Intel Core i7-1255U processor (10 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.7 GHz) with Intel Iris Xe graphics and AES-NI hardware encryption. It includes 16 GB DDR5 memory, dual 10GbE network ports and two M.2 NVMe slots for Hyper Cache, delivering reliable, low-latency storage performance for small and medium business backup, media production and virtualized workloads.

How to use

Install the U8-500 Plus into a compatible 2U rack and populate the eight drive bays with supported SATA HDDs or SSDs. If lower I/O latency is required, install NVMe modules in the two M.2 slots and enable Hyper Cache. Connect the device to your network using the dual 10GbE ports and configure SMB multichannel or iSCSI according to your environment.
