K-flex 09-035 Pipe Insulation 9mm x 35mm
K-flex 09-035 pipe insulation is a high-performance thermal solution engineered for professional heating, plumbing, and air conditioning systems. This flexible elastomeric foam material provides a reliable barrier against heat transfer, helping to maintain optimal temperatures within pipes while preventing energy waste. With a 9mm wall thickness and a 35mm inner diameter, it is specifically designed to fit standard pipe sizes, ensuring a snug and efficient thermal seal.
The primary benefit of using K-flex 09-035 is its closed-cell structure, which offers excellent resistance to moisture absorption and vapor transmission. This property is essential for preventing condensation on cold water lines and reducing the risk of corrosion. The material is highly flexible, making it easy to maneuver around bends and tight spaces during installation. Its durable composition ensures long-term performance, maintaining its thermal properties over time even in demanding HVAC environments.
This insulation may not be suitable for high-temperature industrial applications exceeding the material's thermal limits or for outdoor environments where it would be directly exposed to prolonged UV radiation without additional protective cladding. It is also not intended for use on pipes with diameters significantly different from the specified 35mm inner diameter.
To install the K-flex 09-035 insulation, measure the length of the pipe section and cut the foam tube accordingly using a sharp knife. If the pipe is already installed, slit the insulation longitudinally, wrap it around the pipe, and secure the seam using a compatible adhesive or specialized insulation tape to ensure a continuous thermal barrier. Ensure that all joints are tightly sealed to prevent air gaps where condensation could form.
For optimal thermal efficiency, ensure that all seams and joints are fully sealed with adhesive. Avoid stretching the material during installation, as this can reduce the effective wall thickness and compromise thermal performance.
