Satellite antenna Kathrein CAS 120
The Kathrein CAS 120 is a 1.2 m offset parabolic satellite antenna designed for reception in the 10.7–12.75 GHz range. Constructed with a powder-coated aluminium reflector and a galvanized, coated sheet-steel support, the antenna provides a maximum gain of 42.5 dBi and a durable white finish suitable for outdoor installation. It includes a variable multi-feed LNB attachment for flexible feed positioning.
The aluminium reflector with powder coating and the galvanized, coated steel support improve resistance to weather and corrosion while keeping the assembly lightweight. The 120 cm diameter and 42.5 dBi maximum gain deliver reliable signal reception for a wide range of satellite positions. The variable multi-feed LNB attachment allows installation of different LNB types and facilitates multiple-feed setups.
Mount the Kathrein CAS 120 on a suitable mast or bracket with clear line of sight to the target satellite. Secure the galvanized steel support to the mounting structure following local wind-load guidelines. Attach the LNB to the variable multi-feed bracket and adjust its position for the desired satellite and skew angle. Fine-tune antenna azimuth and elevation while monitoring signal quality from the receiver.
For longest service life and best performance, periodically inspect the reflector and mounting hardware for corrosion or loosening, ensure the LNB and feed arm are properly sealed against moisture, and realign after severe storms. Use compatible LNBs and follow local regulations for roof or mast installations.
