Mechanical key switches Keychron G189 (Gateron) Blue & Yellow, pack of 110
The Keychron G189 (Gateron) Sea Salt linear switches combine a POM stem, transparent cover and a two-tone blue-and-yellow housing to deliver a smooth, consistent typing experience. Supplied as a pack of 110 switches, these pre-lubed mechanical switches are designed for use in mechanical keyboards and include a 5-pin configuration suitable for hot-swap and soldered boards. The design includes a dustproof stem wall and a long two-stage spring for uniform keystrokes and reduced internal noise.
Pre-lubed at the factory to reduce spring noise and internal scratchiness, the switches offer a quieter and more comfortable fingertip feel out of the box. The two-stage 22 mm long spring provides robust return force with a light trigger, producing smoother and more uniform keypresses. The dustproof wall around the stem helps keep out dust and moisture to extend switch lifespan. The transparent top cover and coloured housing give clear visual identification while remaining compatible with standard MX-style keycaps.
Install the Keychron G189 (Gateron) switches into a compatible MX-style keyboard PCB. For hot-swap sockets, push each 5-pin switch firmly into the socket until fully seated. For soldered PCBs, align the pins and solder following standard keyboard assembly practices. Use compatible keycaps designed for MX-style stems. After installation, test key travel and actuation across the board to confirm uniform feel; if necessary, reseat any switch that does not register correctly.
For longest service life, keep the keyboard away from excessive dust and moisture despite the dustproof stem wall, and periodically inspect switches if used in dusty environments. When customizing sound or feel, consider additional lubrication or switch films applied carefully to avoid over-lubrication which may alter the intended linear response.
