The HyperX Shield Microphone Pop Filter reduces plosive sounds and helps improve the clarity of vocal recordings for streamers, content creators, podcasters and voiceover artists. It includes a flexible silicone gooseneck and a universal clamp that attach to most mic stands and booms. For HyperX QuadCast, QuadCast S and ProCast microphones the gooseneck can be detached so the filter mounts directly to the shock mount.

Attach the universal clamp to your microphone stand or boom arm, then position the silicone gooseneck so the filter sits between your mouth and the microphone capsule at a short distance to block plosive puffs without altering the microphone’s pickup. For HyperX QuadCast, QuadCast S and ProCast, remove the gooseneck and attach the filter directly to the microphone’s shock mount according to the mount’s attachment points.

Usage recommendations

Place the pop filter 5–10 cm from the microphone capsule and adjust angle and distance while monitoring audio to find the best balance between plosive reduction and natural vocal tone.
