USB Flash Drive Kingston 64GB USB Type-A IronKey S1000
Kingston IronKey S1000 is a hardware-encrypted USB security drive that provides 256-bit AES encryption in XTS mode and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validation with on-device Cryptochip key management. The drive detects physical tampering, automatically protects data when removed, and uses digitally signed firmware to prevent BadUSB attacks. It supports two passphrase types: a complex password or a passphrase up to 255 characters, and after ten invalid attempts the drive locks with options to reformat or securely destroy the data. The enterprise model adds central administration via SafeConsole for cloud or on-premises management of thousands of drives.
IronKey S1000 combines hardware AES-256 XTS encryption and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validation for strong, standards-based data protection. On-device Cryptochip and tamper detection provide automatic protection and resilience against physical attacks, while digitally signed firmware mitigates BadUSB threats. The enterprise option enables centralized policy enforcement, remote password recovery and lifecycle management of multiple drives. The drive offers up to 128GB capacity for transporting large datasets securely.
Connect the IronKey S1000 to a compatible USB port and follow on-screen prompts to set a complex password or a passphrase up to 255 characters. If using the enterprise model, activate a SafeConsole licence and register the drive to enable remote policy enforcement and recovery options. On removal the drive automatically protects data; if the drive detects tampering or reaches ten invalid password attempts it will lock and require reformat or secure destruction as configured.
Use a long, unique passphrase or complex password and store recovery or administration credentials securely. For organizational deployments, enable SafeConsole management to enforce policies, enable remote recovery and track drive usage. Regularly back up critical data before writing it to the encrypted drive.
