Piston coffee/tea brewer Klausberg KB 7683, glass 0.60 L
Piston coffee/tea brewer Klausberg KB 7683 is a 0.60 L glass French-press style brewer designed for steeping coffee grounds or loose-leaf tea. The brewer combines a heat-resistant borosilicate glass carafe with a piston plunger and stainless steel filter material to separate brewed liquid from grounds or leaves. Its compact 600 ml capacity is suitable for preparing 1–3 cups, making it appropriate for home kitchens, small offices, or casual gatherings.
The Klausberg KB 7683 features a double-wall construction and a modern shape that provides thermal stability and a clear view of the brewing process. The stainless steel filter is made from high-quality material that ensures effective separation of grounds or tea leaves while retaining aroma. Borosilicate glass offers resistance to thermal shock and preserves beverage taste. The unit is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Preheat the carafe with hot water, then discard the water. Add the required amount of coarsely ground coffee or loose-leaf tea into the carafe, pour hot water over the grounds or leaves, and allow to steep for the recommended time (typically 3–5 minutes for coffee, 2–5 minutes for tea, depending on strength). Insert the piston plunger and press down slowly and evenly to separate the brewed liquid from the grounds or leaves. Pour immediately to avoid over-extraction and enjoy the beverage at the desired temperature.
For best results use freshly ground coffee with a coarse grind and water heated to appropriate temperature (around 90–96°C for coffee). Rinse the stainless steel filter with hot water before first use and disassemble components for periodic cleaning to maintain filtration performance. Avoid extreme temperature shocks to the glass by not pouring boiling water directly into a cold carafe.
