Klimas dowel anchor with conical head for cross recess 4x45 mm KRX-8X45
Klimas KRX-8X45 is a 4x45 mm dowel anchor with a conical head designed for a cross (Phillips) recess. It is intended to create a secure mechanical connection in solid base materials such as masonry and concrete when used together with a suitable screw. The conical head provides a neat, flush finish while the anchor sleeve expands as the screw is driven in, generating radial gripping force against the substrate for reliable retention of lightweight fixtures, fittings and profiles.
The conical head design allows the screw head to sit flush, reducing snagging and providing a clean appearance. The expansion sleeve construction ensures even load distribution around the drilled hole and improves pull-out resistance in solid materials. Its compact 4x45 mm dimensions make it suitable for tight installation spaces while still offering dependable mechanical anchoring for light-duty applications.
Drill a hole in the substrate using the appropriate 4 mm drill bit to the required depth, clean out drilling dust, insert the dowel anchor flush into the hole, and position the fixture. Drive a matching cross-recess screw into the anchor until the head sits flush and the sleeve expands against the hole walls. Ensure the screw length and type are suitable for the thickness of the fixture and the substrate to achieve the intended holding performance.
Use in solid base materials only; do not use in hollow or perforated blocks unless a specialist anchor is specified. Select corrosion-resistant screw material for humid or outdoor conditions. Pre-check drill bit diameter and drilling depth and avoid over-torquing the screw to prevent anchor or substrate damage.
