KOBRA 240.1 HS paper shredder Cross shredding 61 dB 24 cm White
The KOBRA 240.1 HS paper shredder is a high-security cross-cut shredder designed for continuous, reliable destruction of classified and sensitive documents. It shreds paper into very small particles (0.8 x 9.5 mm) across a 24 cm working width, producing micro-chips that are unreadable even with specialised recovery tools. Built with a heavy-duty chain drive, steel gears and carbon-hardened cutting knives, the unit supports continuous 24-hour operation without overheating. The compact cabinet with a 40 litre waste bin is mounted on casters for easy placement and movement, and the unit operates at a noise level of approximately 61 dB.
The steel gear and metal chain drive system provide long-term resistance to wear and dependable mechanical performance under heavy use. Carbon-hardened cutting knives ensure consistent cross shredding into small particles, suitable for high-security disposal needs. The motor’s thermal protection allows continuous duty operation, while automatic reverse and electronic jam control reduce downtime. Energy Smart standby and automatic Start & Stop functions improve energy efficiency and user convenience. Safety stop features prevent operation when the door is open or the bin is full.
Place the shredder on a stable, level surface and ensure the cabinet door is securely closed before operation. Connect the unit to a 230 V AC supply. Feed paper or credit cards into the feed opening within the 24 cm working width; the automatic Start & Stop sensors will activate the cutting mechanism. If multiple sheets are fed, do not exceed the rated capacity of six sheets to avoid jams. In case of a jam the automatic reverse function will help clear the feed; switch off and follow user manual instructions for safe removal if the obstruction persists. Empty the 40 litre bin when full to maintain performance and ensure the Safety Stop is reset.
For optimal performance, avoid feeding staples or large quantities of adhesive labels at once; remove heavy bindings or clips where possible. Allow the motor to operate continuously as required—thermal protection and hardened components support extended duty—but follow periodic maintenance checks as described in the manual. Use the Energy Smart standby feature to reduce power draw during idle periods and keep the unit on a stable surface to minimise vibration and noise.
