KOBRA C4-HYBRID 24 cm working width, 3.5 mm cut, 40 L basket, White/Transparent is a compact document shredder designed for small offices and home use. It features a 240 mm working width, hardened steel cutting knives and a 40 litre removable collection container with a transparent illuminated front window to monitor fill level. The unit supports shredding of paper, credit cards and CDs/DVDs and incorporates a Hybrid Power Management System that stores energy to perform up to 15% of shredding from stored power, allowing automatic disconnection from mains when shredding is almost complete.

Advantages

The Hybrid Power Management System reduces mains energy use by using stored energy for part of the shredding cycle while LED indicators provide operational status. Hardened steel knives are resistant to staples and paper clips, and a high-efficiency continuous-duty motor is specified for prolonged operation without overheating. A Safety Stop feature detects bin removal and automatically halts the cutting unit. The removable container is designed for easy emptying without lifting the cutting head and does not require plastic bags. Compact dimensions and a 12 kg weight make the unit suitable where space is limited.

How to use

Place the shredder on a flat, stable surface and connect to a 230 V AC outlet. Ensure the collection basket is correctly inserted before switching on. Feed paper, credit cards or CDs into the feed slot following the recommended maximum of 17 sheets for paper; if a jam occurs use the reverse function to clear it. The unit will start automatically when material is inserted and stop when shredding is complete. When emptying the basket, switch the unit off and the Safety Stop will prevent the cutting unit from operating if the head is lifted or the bin is removed.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid feeding large stacks above the recommended capacity, remove staples only when necessary (the cutting knives tolerate staples and clips), and allow the motor to operate without obstruction. Use the illuminated window to monitor fill level and empty the 40 L container before it becomes too full to maintain consistent shredding performance.
