Concrete screw Koelner/Rawlplug R-LX M6 7.5x60 mm, hex flange head, electro-galvanized
Koelner/Rawlplug R-LX concrete screw M6 7.5x60 mm with a hexagonal flange head and electro-galvanized finish is a mechanical fastener designed for direct fixing into concrete and masonry. The screw is made for applications where a reliable threaded anchor is needed without using chemical or sleeve anchors. It requires a correctly sized pre-drilled hole and installation to the specified torque to develop secure mechanical engagement in solid substrates.
The hexagonal flange head provides a large bearing surface that helps distribute load and reduces the risk of pull-through in installed fixtures. Electro-galvanized surface treatment offers corrosion resistance for indoor and some sheltered outdoor environments. The R-LX geometry is optimized for cutting into concrete and masonry, permitting straightforward installation with common drills and torque tools while delivering repeatable holding performance.
This concrete screw is intended for solid concrete and dense masonry; it is not suitable for hollow block, lightweight aerated concrete, or poorly compacted substrates where the thread cannot engage solid material. For structural overhead loads, dynamic loading, or highly corrosive environments, alternative anchors or stainless steel fasteners should be considered.
Drill a hole to the recommended diameter and depth for a 7.5 mm screw into clean, solid concrete or masonry. Remove dust from the drilled hole, position the fixture, and insert the concrete screw through the fixture into the hole. Tighten with a compatible wrench or socket to the manufacturer’s recommended torque value to achieve full mechanical engagement; avoid over-torquing which can damage the substrate or fastener. If precise torque values are required for safety-critical installations, consult anchor load tables and use a calibrated torque tool.
Use appropriate drill bit size and clean holes of dust before installation; apply specified torque and check pull-out or shear loads against published anchor performance data when used in safety-relevant applications.
