Construction Screws Koelner/Rawlplug 6.0x60 mm Partial Thread Countersunk Head, Pack of 7
Construction Screws Koelner/Rawlplug 6.0x60 mm Partial Thread Countersunk Head, Pack of 7 are metal fasteners designed for joining timber and composite structural elements where a flush, concealed head is required. Each screw has a partially threaded shank to allow clamping of joined parts and a countersunk head that sits level with or below the material surface after installation. Supplied as a small pack of seven pieces, these screws are suitable for repair, finishing and light structural connections in joinery and carpentry tasks.
These screws combine a partially threaded shaft with a countersunk head to provide secure clamping and a neat finished appearance. The design supports easy driving and sinking into wood surfaces for a flush or near-flush result. Supplied in a small quantity pack, they are convenient for targeted repair jobs or sample installations where only a few fasteners are needed.
These screws are intended for timber and similar materials; they are not designed for heavy structural loads or for use in masonry, concrete or metal without appropriate anchors or inserts. For high-load structural connections, larger diameter or fully threaded fasteners, or certified structural connectors should be used instead.
Pre-drill a pilot hole appropriate to the timber species and screw diameter to reduce splitting. Position the parts to be joined, insert the screw and drive it with a compatible screwdriver or bit until the countersunk head is flush with or slightly below the surface. For a concealed finish, countersink the head to the required depth and apply filler or plug if necessary. Ensure correct length and thread engagement so that the unthreaded shank clamps the materials effectively.
Use a pilot hole sized for the screw core diameter in hardwoods, and consider a slightly smaller pilot hole in softwoods. Select a suitable screwdriver bit to avoid cam-out and ensure the head seats cleanly into the material for a flush finish.
