könig & meyer iron stick AK158 — ironing aid for garment pressing
könig & meyer iron stick AK158 — ironing aid for garment pressing
The könig & meyer iron stick AK158 is a compact ironing aid designed to improve precision when pressing garments. It provides a small, hand-held surface that helps reach seams, collars, pleats and other narrow or curved areas where a full-size ironing board or iron soleplate may be awkward to use. The iron stick is intended for use with household irons to support smoother, more detailed finishing on shirts, trousers and delicate fabrics.
The iron stick offers a stable, narrow pressing surface that reduces fabric shifting and allows targeted application of heat and pressure. Its compact shape makes it easy to handle and manoeuvre into tight spaces such as cuffs and between buttons. Designed for compatibility with standard household irons, it enables more consistent crease control and improved results on small garment areas without replacing standard ironing equipment.
Place the iron stick beneath the area of the garment you want to press so the narrow surface supports the fabric from underneath. Adjust your iron to the temperature appropriate for the fabric and apply the iron gently over the targeted area, using the iron stick to stabilise and shape seams or collars. Move the iron stick as needed to reach successive small sections and allow fabrics to cool briefly after pressing to set creases. Do not apply excessive pressure beyond what is recommended for the garment fabric.
Use appropriate iron temperatures and protective cloths for delicate materials, and always test on an inconspicuous area before full pressing. Store the iron stick in a dry place away from direct heat when not in use.
