The Koolance QD3 quick-disconnect is a no-spill bulkhead coupling designed for liquid cooling systems. This straight male bulkhead connector features a G1/4" internal thread and a compact form factor that allows coolant lines to pass through a chassis or panel without tools. It is intended for PC water-cooling loops and other small cooling installations where a secure, easy-to-separate passthrough is required.
This quick-disconnect provides tool-free separation of coolant lines while minimizing spillage during disconnection. The straight male bulkhead design and G1/4" internal thread make it compatible with common water-cooling fittings, and the compact silver finish suits tight mounting locations and visible panel installations. Its no-spill mechanism reduces liquid loss and simplifies maintenance or component swaps.
This coupling is intended for low-pressure liquid-cooling loops typical in PC and small-system applications; it may not be appropriate for high-pressure industrial fluid systems or applications with aggressive chemicals not compatible with typical cooling materials. For systems requiring threaded fittings other than G1/4" internal thread or angled bulkhead orientations, a different fitting style may be required.
Install the bulkhead portion into a chassis or panel cutout and secure it according to mounting allowances of the surrounding hardware. Thread-compatible fittings or tubing with appropriate adapters are attached to the G1/4" internal thread. To disconnect, depress or actuate the quick-disconnect sleeve as designed to release the mating half; the no-spill mechanism will retain most coolant within the coupling to reduce drips. Reconnect by aligning the mating halves and pushing until the coupling locks.
Use the Koolance QD3 quick-disconnect in accessible locations where occasional separation is expected. Before first use, test the connection for leaks on a bench with the intended coolant and operating conditions. When disconnecting, hold a towel or drip tray underneath to catch any residual fluid and follow system-specific maintenance procedures to avoid contamination.
