Video Line Amplifier Kramer Electronics VM-3H2 Black 187.5x115x25.4mm
The Kramer VM-3H2 is a 1:3 HDMI distribution amplifier that accepts a single HDMI input, equalizes and reclocks the signal and distributes it to three identical outputs. It supports HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 and 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) HDR content, and is housed in a compact fan‑less enclosure (187.5 × 115 × 25.4 mm) suitable for over‑ceiling or side‑by‑side rack mounting.
The VM-3H2 delivers high data‑rate transmission up to 17.82 Gbps (5.94 Gbps per graphic channel), supports deep color, x.v.Color™, 7.1 PCM, Dolby TrueHD and DTS‑HD audio formats, and carries HDR and 3D signals. Kramer’s equalization and re‑Klocking technology rebuilds the digital HDMI signal for longer cable runs. The unit features intelligent EDID handling with EDID lock and Force RGB options, selectable HDCP authorization to allow non‑protected content delivery when required, RS‑232 for field firmware updates, and status LEDs for simple maintenance and troubleshooting.
Connect the HDMI source to the unit’s HDMI input and connect up to three displays to the HDMI outputs. Configure EDID handling according to the connected displays or use the default EDID; enable EDID lock or Force RGB if required for compatibility. Select HDCP authorization mode to allow protected or non‑protected content delivery. Use RS‑232 when a firmware update is necessary and monitor the input/output LEDs and power indicator to verify proper operation.
For reliable long‑distance HDMI transmission, use quality HDMI cables and enable the VM‑3H2 equalization/re‑Klocking functions. When displays do not support YCbCr, use the Force RGB option. If distributing personal or unprotected content, switch to non‑HDCP mode only when source and displays support the chosen configuration.
