AV transmitter Kramer Electronics TP-780Txr
The AV transmitter Kramer Electronics TP-780Txr is a high-performance HDBaseT transmitter for long-distance transmission of HDMI, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR signals over twisted-pair cabling. It supports up to 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) 24bpp video over CAT copper cables to 100 m (330 ft) and longer distances for lower resolutions. The unit is HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 compliant, housed in a compact black aluminum enclosure and intended for professional AV installations.
TP-780Txr converts all input signals into an HDBaseT stream and is compatible with any HDBaseT-compliant receiver. It supports deep color, x.v.Color, uncompressed HDMI audio formats, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, and passes EDID and CEC between source and display. I-EDIDPro provides intelligent EDID handling for plug-and-play operation. The device extends up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio and carries bidirectional Ethernet (up to 100 Mbps), RS-232 and IR for device control. Status LEDs and local firmware update via RS-232 simplify maintenance. Single-cable HDBaseT plus power and a fan-less compact MegaTOOLS enclosure allow flexible mounting options.
Connect the HDMI source to the TP-780Txr HDMI input and connect the HDBaseT output to an HDBaseT-compliant receiver using CAT copper cable. Provide 48 V power to the unit and verify link LEDs for HDMI and HDBaseT to confirm proper connection. For control, connect RS-232 and Ethernet interfaces or use IR as required. Use the Kramer-recommended cables for optimal reach and performance and follow the receiver’s installation instructions for the remote display.
For best performance, use high-quality shielded CAT cables recommended by Kramer, keep cable runs within specified distances for the required resolution, and perform firmware updates via RS-232 with the K-Upload tool when available.
